Our Opinion :

First of all we compare with MS Office. We all know that MS Office is the top Office suite in the world and it is not free except students and staffs who have ” .edu ” Email address .Also updates are not free in MS Office, But in OpenOffice everything is free and you don’t need to pay a penny. Most users dont see any difference between two products but MS Office is a benchmark for office suites. They have good UI , navigation, and dedicated customer support which is not present in any office suites.

In system Requirements it is clear that OpenOffice can run and perform better even in low hardware machines compared to MS Office which needs good hardware. From the point of safety MS Office provides security updates to keep the files safe from hackers which we cant expect from free office suites. Also free suites don’t have email integration as compared to MS Office

So what we wrap is if you want free suite with minimum hardware requirements and don’t need any support then you can go with OpenOffice. The free suites is enough for most of the word users. But if you want a Premium Office suite with excellent support then you should go for MS Office.

● Very Easy to learn and use.
● Extensions are available.
● Can open and save documents as MS Office format.
● User friendly.
● Absolute free.

Cons :

● Does not have support as MS Office.
● It is not alternate for advanced options in MS Office.
